Making beautiful records, setting industry records, and breaking history records is a synopsis of Boyz II Men's music career. This year, a milestone record in itself, Boyz II Men are celebrating fifteen years together since the release of their debut album, CooleyHighHarmony. The Boyz (Nathan, Wanya, and Shawn) are working full force with a new album releasing this year (Fall 2006,) some exciting personal business ventures, and a new partnership with Donald Trump. Life is good if you are Boyz II Men! In 2005, Boyz II Men released Throwback- a tribute album of their favorite songs, and they toured across the US and Asia, which kept them extremely busy and connected them with their millions of loyal, Worldwide fans. This touring time prepped the fans for what is on the horizon and let the guys determine what their fans are looking for from them in their next album. The Boyz also just announced their joint business venture with Donald Trump to build a casino in Philadelphia where they will manage the entertainment side of the business venture. 2006 is setting up to be a spectacular year for Boyz II Men.

Records Past Boyz II Men are labeled the most commercially successful R&B group of all time by the RIAA. Having recorded five Number 1 pop hits between 1992 and 1997 and have since topped sales of 60 million records worldwide an have earned a host of Grammys, American Music Awards, World Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and Soul Train Music Awards. Three of their Number 1 hits, "End of the Road", "I'll Make Love to You", and "One Sweet Day" (a duet with Mariah Carey), set and broke records for the longest period of time a single remained at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Cooley High won the 1992 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, "End of the Road" became a record-breaking success, remaining at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for thirteen weeks, breaking the previous record of 11 weeks set by Elvis Presley with "Don't Be Cruel"/"Hound Dog" in 1956. "I'll Make Love to You" notably broke "End of the Road's" thirteen-week record at Number 1, by spending fourteen weeks at the top of the chart (a feat equaled earlier that year by Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You"). "On Bended Knee" replaced "I'll Make Love to you" at Number 1, making Boyz II Men the third act to replace themselves at Number 1, after Elvis and The Beatles. In 1997 Evolution was released and debuted at number one while sending "4 Seasons of Loneliness" to the same position on the singles charts; its Top Ten follow-up, "A Song for Mama," gave Boyz II Men their record-setting seventh platinum single. Meanwhile, II sold in excess of twelve million copies in the United States alone, becoming one of the best-selling albums ever released by an R&B group act.

New Record Their new album, not yet titled, is a notable accomplishment on a different kind of level. Firstly, the album will be a double CD combining one album of entirely new music and the second with their most popular hits re-recorded. Nathan, Shawn, and Wanya now own the masters and rights to all of their original music. Some of their biggest songs will be re-recorded on how they feel as adults. With time, the Boyz themselves have changed-not the perfection in these previously recorded, wonderfully written songs, so they want to record them as adults. The new music represents a new outlook and attitude for the guys. This time out, they are completely in control of their choices from top to bottom on this album. Boyz II Men are choosing the songs they like, recording them the way they want, and promoting the album and the group the way they want to. The group is excited about their history and their future. The new songs will include both signature soulful ballads and upbeat harmonies by which their fans associate with classic Boyz II Men. Boyz II Men's trademark ability to shine vocally as individuals yet blend soulful harmonies has been and will be what keeps fans old and new, adoring Boyz II Men. This album is an anniversary of their growth from Boyz to Men!
