Between the Trees tour dates for 2009

Springing onto the music scene in early 2006 Florida's own Between the Treeshas already shown incredible promise. Between the Trees has taken Florida's music scene by storm. Developing a core of sing-a-long fans, they have become known for their ability to create a common ground with fans by coupling powerful lyrics with infectious melodies. Add an explosive live show into the mix and you have the recipe for a band that has heads turning. While most band members are below the age of 20, they still retain the ability to connect with all ages.

Conceived in 2005 by Lead vocalist/Guitarist- Ryan Kirkland, Bassist- Jeremy Butler, and Drummer- Josh Butler, the group began writing music as a trio for the first quarter of 2005. Adding Wes Anderson in Spring of 2005 they began playing around Florida as a quartet. Eventually they sought after a 2nd guitarist and added Brad Kriebel into the mix in Janurary of 2006. With the lineup complete Between the Trees, now a thundering quintet, continued writing and playing local shows throughout the first half 2006.

In July of 2006 Between the Trees began recording their debut album "The Story and The Song" with Producer Pete Thornton (Paramore, Shinedown, Day of Fire). Following recording "The Story and The Song" was mastered by Multi-Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen (Green Day, AFI, Dredg) and then was released by Independent Label Bonded Records. Within the first 3 months "The Story and The Song" had sold in excess of 6000 copies. For an artist without any distrubution the numbers were outrageous and immediatley sparked the interest of such labels as Atlantic, Virgin, Columbia, Jive, Interscope, The Militia Group and many others.

After playing countless shows and festivals in 2006 such as Warped Tour, Bamboozle Left, Cornerstone Florida, and CMJ, Between the Trees is starting 2007 off with a bang with their first official South East tour. Accompanied by Floodgate Records own Hundred Year Storm BTT heads out on Feburary 2nd for a month long tour. With the South East Tour in place Between the Trees plans for consistent touring throughout the Summer of 2007 and have already announced their addition of The Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ to their lineup.
