More details about Arthur Alligood
Bio
“I just went to a pawn shop during the end of my junior year and bought a cheap, acoustic guitar” says Arthur.
“I wrote my first song that day...before I even knew what chords were.”
Four years later he would release his first six-song EP of bare, acoustic songs. In 2003, advancing as songwriter, Arthur released his first full-length CD, CD02, a folk record with roots in rock.
“I had a fun time with CD02. Ryan (Kyzar, producer) is great friend and a joy to work with. He really helped me take my songs to a new level.”
Alligood’s , "Formerly," features seven songs from his independent album plus four new songs. With more influence from rock and roll than Alligood’s previous releases, Formerly, is not only pleasing to the ear, but lyrically sets the mind in thought. It tackles a wide variety of issues such as redemption to everyday struggles and thoughts.
Since "Formerly," Alligood has released another full length album entitled, "Under the Gray." The album has a dark tone, yet it's honest lyrics usher in an abundance of encouragement for the struggling Christian.
After carrying "Under the Gray" with him to several different venues all across the US, Arthur took a much needed break. After his rest, he recorded an EP entitled, "The Full Circle." You can download this EP at www.arthuralligood.com.
Currently, Arthur is a full-time college student, working on a degree in English Education.
Arthur, his wife, Tracy, and daughter Corbin reside in White House, TN.
