Bio
The 16-year-old, singer / songwriter, who hails from Pleasantville, NY, was a winner of the Kerrville New Folk Competition and performed at the Kerrville Folk Festival. He played Tin Pan South in Nashville. He formally showcased at the Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis. And he released his fifth CD, Quality Time*. Anthony also performed with many of his musical friends and heroes — from Red Molly and Hope Machine (Fred Gillen Jr. and Steve Kirkman) to David Massengill, Anais Mitchell and Jonathan Byrd.
A member of Tribes Hill and the Folk Alliance, Anthony’s writing and performing draw from a deep well of rich musical influences — from Bob Dylan and Dan Bern, to Dave Rawlings and Gillian Welch, to Ryan Adams and Johnny Cash. Anthony, who has been featured in media ranging from The New York Times to the Voice of America, is a largely self-taught, multi-instrumentalist who plays on stages, festivals and coffee houses throughout New York and beyond — most recently in Nashville at 12th and Porter and The Bluebird Café. He performs solo, as a duo with fiddler Oliver Hill, as a trio / guest with Hope Machine and with the “Six-Pack” (Red Molly + Hope Machine).
