Her warm-honey voice broke the hearts of the 2007 Niagara Music Awards in Canada, leaving her with the title of Country Band of the Year. Equally plumbing the bittersweet depths of Faith Hill and the independent spunk of Melissa Etheridge, Canadian singer/songwriter Angela Siracusa (http://www.angelasiracusa.com) has opened up for country superstar Sammy Kershaw and is currently receiving critical praise from the U.S. and U.K. Such accomplishments are common to artists signed to a major label; however, Siracusa has done everything on her own, using her softly soaring and emotionally moving singing to win over new fans.

Influenced by both classic and contemporary country artists, Siracusa was already a professional singer by her teens, performing with her brothers in the band Syracuse. She then started writing songs of her own, penning personal lyrics about life, love, and friendship. Her debut CD, Mov’n On, was released in late 2006. The next year Siracusa flew to Nashville, promoting her music to industry heads in the region. Impressed with her talents and tireless work ethic, Siracusa was invited to host the Indie Islands booth at the Country Music Association’s Fan Fair.

In 2008, Siracusa’s second full-length Drawn to the Flame, which includes a duet with Walter Egan on his own “Magnet and Steel,” is already drawing praise from both American and British music critics. In addition to music, Siracusa writes a column called “Angela Feeds the Band” for Tub magazine wherein she interviews and cooks for famous musicians.
Siracusa’s new video, “Better Men Have Tried,” is currently topping the My Space video charts with more than 15,000 plays.
