Jay2p

Jay2p is one of Australia's youngest forthcoming Hip-Hop artists, at only 15 years of age he has already created his own fresh style of Hip-Hop, a style that is already gaining popularity in Sydney, his hometown, and soon spreading across the world as he begins his tour. Jay2p’s style differs greatly from any of the other rappers in the Hip-Hop scene; this is thanks to his own style which brings a whole new dimension, a whole new flavor, and a whole new era to Hip-Hop music. Jay2p is only 15 years old and has already achieved quite a bit, but his career can only go forwards so why not join the ride with him?

Jay2p, real name Julian Petroulas, was born June the 4th 1991 in Sydney, Australia. As a child Jay was surrounded by music, he grew up loving Hip-Hop and listening to popular commercial artists such as Outkast, Nas, Eminem and well known popular R&B singers such as Usher. While Jay’s fascination with music only extended as far as listening this was soon to be changed when he visited a 50 Cent concert in 2003, as the concert progressed he was overwhelmed by the crowd’s reaction. As the concert progressed and the crowd pulsed to the music, Jay found himself standing and observing the crowd’s reaction to 50 Cent’s music, amazed by the hype that he could create. Immediately Jay thought “I can do this!” and from then on decided to pursue a career in music.

Jay is different from most rappers out there today in that he tends to think outside the box. Most rappers in the rap scene today think on a one dimensional level, meaning that they always present themselves as they would on stage, as a Rapper whereas Jay2p feels that there are times when a listener wants to see the other side of the person, and hear different views as opposed to the same one dimensional ideas over and over again, and how you may handle a situation concerning some of life’s issues, in his own words it could be considered a kind of “Soundtrack of Life”.
