It all started a year or two ago. Branden had been good friends with Nick since freshman year in high school, and Nick had known Eric. For quite some time Branden and Nick had been involved in music, going from band to band looking for one that would stick and hold. Failing in a good portion of attempts, the two went on hiatus from trying to find a band for a little while. Nick called Branden asking him to be a rhythm guitarist in the band Infiltrate 57. The band included Bill, Nick Mohaupt, and Eric Dewitt. Thus the meeting of Eric and Branden came to be.
The band fell apart later on, but unlike the others, a strong friendship developed between Nick, Eric, and Branden. Quite some time passed before Nick and Eric got together again and started playing music (which they called the Nick and Eric Show). They later called Branden who came to a practice. Shades of Autumn was born that night. The three instantly went into a query of playing and bouncing ideas off one another. The band name was created by Eric Dewitt and the logo was originally conceived by Eric, but then designed by Nick. Shortly after going through a few bassists, the group found Jon Bruno, who was a friend of Nick's. Jon had been itching to get into a band with Nick. His chance arrived, creating the quartet Hard Rock/Metal band Shades of Autumn, the new kid on a very ginormous block of bands.
