When visiting McDonalds, a chance encounter with your future band mates is seldom and an ideal that the aspiring usually daydream about. Not only did this unusual encounter draw together the four members of The Chocolate, they found each other in a country fueled by love and romance, far from alternative rock. Capturing the ears of devout rock lovers worldwide in a short period of time, The Chocolate has positioned themselves into making a run at becoming a household name. There flair for great melody along with the gripping vocals from lead singer Pit, has caused for a swift online buzz leaving fans throughout, anticipating concert and album news.

The now infamous McDonalds in the town of Orleans, France are where founders Animal, Pit, Noe, and Max came together. Not only were they quick in forming a common bond at the eatery, their ability for quick song writing and translating that to an album has also been impressive thus far. Practice for their first LP titled ‘Chocaholic’ began early of March 2006 and only in a matter of three rehearsals encompassing two days, the 9 song disc was complete. Even more surprising was the budget for which the album was produced, a meager $200. Since its release in September 2006, the band has seen their music circulate rapidly and with overwhelming support and reception.

When asked about the meaning and motivation behind the music, their answers are what you would expect from the people of this romantically inspired country of France; Love and Death. Couple that with some basic elements of grunge rock-such as “message” songs with contemporary social themes and basic acoustic guitar accompaniments and blending them with a unique voice and a striking personal appearance, you have innovation. You have The Chocolate.
