Details: "Once in a blue moon?" You can experience the Fire Island Lighthouse at night twice in December 2009, to observe the occurance of an extra full moon, known as a blue moon. View the night sky from the top of the tower, as you catch both sunset and moonrise at 4:34 p.m. on this New Years Eve. Reservations Required.
