Gidon Kremer will perform chamber works by Mahler, Schnittke, and Brahms with invited guests at the Salle Pleyel in Paris
For his concert in the Salle Pleyel, Gidon Kremer has invited three extraordinary musicians: the violist Yuri Bashmet, with whom Kremer has recorded the Double Concerto by Britten (label Elatus); the young German cellist Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, winner of the First Grand Prize of the Rostropovitch contest in 2005; and the pianist Oleg Maisenberg, international soloist and a highly regarded educator (he has taught at the University of Vienna since 1998.)
