Description
Wilderness medicine training is beneficial to anyone spending time in remote areas where medical attention can be hours or days away, and especially beneficial to trail crew leaders, hike and ride leaders, park rangers, and all outdoor adventurers and professionals.
Fast paced and hands-on, this 16-hour, two-day course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel in the outdoors. On this course, you'll learn how to prepare for the unexpected. WMI's unique curriculum includes many advanced topics such as dislocation reduction, focused spinal assessment and epinephrine administration. In just two days, you'll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
This course does not include CPR.
Classes are limited to a maximum 30 participants, and space is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration fees include tuition, all textbooks and educational materials, and the National certification.
