Lecture: Don't Panic -- Why Man-made Global Warming Forecasts are Exaggerated

Warren Meyer, author of climate-skeptic.com, will present a free lecture on the science of global warming and climate change, with an emphasis on the science of the skeptic's position.

While the lecture will cover a range of topics, the primary focus will be on global warming forecasts. It turns out that catastrophic forecasts of climate change are based on not one but two chained theories. The first, that greenhouse gasses cause global warming, is fairly well settled but only results in about a degree Celsius of warming over the next century. The catastrophe, the warming of 3-5-10 degrees or more, comes from a second unrelated theory, that the Earth's climate system is dominated by strong positive feedback. This second theory is most definitely not settled, and its unraveling is the reason many scientists are starting to doubt the catastrophe.
