Edward Polochick, Conductor, presents an all-orchestral evening of powerful Romantic selections.
Dvorak: Serenade For Strings
Schumann: Overture, Scherzo and Finale
Dvorak: Piano Concerto in G Minor<
The program opens with âOverture, Scherzo and Finaleâ by Schumann. It has been said that this romantic work, a symphony without a slow movement, unites Schumannâs most pleasing characteristics in a short form.
Also on the program, the ever popular Serenade for Strings by Dvorak. It is one of his earliest masterpieces and establishes the composer as a master of melody.
The evening concludes with pianist Soheil Nasseri, noted by Time Out London as âone of New Yorkâs most acclaimed young musiciansâ joining Maestro Polochick and the orchestra in a rare performance of the Concerto for Piano by Dvorak.
