Situated in the heart of Downtown Oshawa, the General Motors Centre opened in 2006, as Durham Region’s one-stop shop for first-class entertainment. This Global Spectrum managed facility provides a wide range of entertainment, including concerts, family shows, sporting events, ice skating, monster trucks and more.

This beautiful facility has two ice pads, and has hosted major concerts and special events such as:

- Tragically Hip - Tom Jones - Alice Cooper - Three Days Grace - Great Big Sea - Bob Dylan - TNA Wrestling Pay-Per-View (first ever outside of the United States) - 2009 IIHF World Junior Pre-Competition - 2009 Top Prospects Skills Competition and Game - Legendary Harlem Globetrotters

Just to name a few! The main pad will seat approximately 6,000 people, however, has the capabilities of many different arena set-ups, for various capacities.

The General Motors Centre is home of the OHL Oshawa Generals.

With a total project cost of $45 million, this complex houses the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame, Prospects Bar & Grill, Executive Suites, Special Club Seating, and a retail store for the Oshawa Generals.
