Ascendio is magical, from the discussions and academic presentations to Night of a Thousand Wizards 2, our private event in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, from the Muggle Quidditch matches to Wizard Rock, from Team StarKid to our fanart gallery - it's a weekend of celebration of the magic that is Harry Potter.
It's the 8th event by HPEF, who also hosted Orlando's INFINITUS in 2010. Ascendio registrants get to enjoy presentations, panels, workshops and roundtables, a panel and movie viewing with members of Team Starkid, at least three brand new theatrical experiences, hours of Wizard Rock, Quidditch matches - including Water Quidditch - a visit from Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley), and so much more!
Night of a Thousand Wizards 2 is our private event in the park on Thursday, July 12 (yes, you can wear a costume)!
New this year is the QUILL TRACK, featuring authors like Beth Revis, Lev Grossman, Libba Bray, Veronica Roth, Aimee Carter and others, as well as agents and book industry titans who'll talk about how to get published, and the future of the book industry. You can even pitch your completed novel to our panel of agents!
The dynamism of our HPEF events comes from all the fans, gathered together to celebrate Harry Potter.
Our formal programming runs the gamut, from academic discussions of themes and characters, to roundtable discussions of HP couples (or “ships”!), to workshops where you can learn to knit a House scarf or steampunk your wand.
