Lady Gaga is an American singer, songwriter and performance artist. She began performing in the rock music scene of New York City's Lower East Side. Before making a name for herself, Lady Gaga wrote hit songs for labelmates New Kids on the Block, Fergie, the Pussycat Dolls, as well as for Britney Spears. After hearing Gaga sing while she was writing at Interscope, singer-songwriter Akon convinced the Interscope-Geffen-A&M decision makers to sign her to a joint deal with his own label, Kon Live Distribution. Hard Rock Live Orlando, a 3,000-capacity concert venue located at Universal Orlando's CityWalk, showcases music from national acts to emerging artists. Hard Rock Live and the 600-seat Hard Rock Cafe Orlando-which is also perfect for live music-are situated in a 140,000-square-foot building designed as a retro interpretation of the Roman Coliseum.
