January 20th Shamanic Journey Meditation Meeting

The Orlando Shamanic Journey Meditation Group uses the ancient practice of shamanic journeying for problem solving and healing. Shamanic journeying is the inner art of traveling to the "invisible worlds" beyond ordinary reality to retrieve information for change in some area of your life from spirituality and health to work and relationships. The group shares the core teachings of this transforming practice, including the original role of the shaman in the past, how to meet and work with your helping animal spirit and other spirit teachers, and how to successfully journey in today's culture. Drumming and guidance is provided by the facilitator. Please check back the week before our meeting for a specific description of our group journey and discussion for the evening. Members of the group will receive an email reminder a few days before the meeting. If this will be your first time attending and/or you have never journeyed before, please arrive by 7 PM for an introductory discussion before we start our meeting. Please RSVP and indicate so in your RSVP question so we know if anyone will be coming early. Introductory discussion will start at 7 PM and our meeting will begin at 7:30. There are chairs and pillows available, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Wear loose comfortable clothing which will allow sitting or lying for an extended period of time during your journey (approximately 30-45 minutes in length). A bandana or covering for your eyes is also recommended, as well as a journal and pen to make notes after your journey. Participants are also encouraged to bring personal totems, stones, or other items for the mesa (altar). Drums and rattles are also encouraged; however it is not required and extras will be available. There is no charge to attend; however, we do accept gratitude offerings which are given to Spiral Circle in appreciation for the use of their sacred space for free.
