Full Moon Circle ~ penumbral lunar eclipse tonight

A penumbral lunar eclipse happens today right around Sunset! Unfortunately, July's penumbral eclipse is only of academic and energetic interest. Having a magnitude of only 0.156, the eclipse is so minor as to be completely invisible to the naked eye. For more academic info about the eclipse, check out this NASA document. Visible or not, Lunar Eclipses are recognised by many cultures as very special Full Moons that brings particular importance to the decisions we make, things we let go of, and things we finish during the waning cycle that follows. Many people fear eclipses because they tend to bring about a crisis that leads to a significant event or change. Many people experience distinct beginnings and ends. It is important to be aware during these time. To remain calm and focused with clear intent. Since we can not see, we will gather tonight to experience and work with the energy of this Lunar Eclipse. Together as a community we will celebrate the event with music, meditation and fun. Join together early for a special meditation and intention circle for world peace through personal freedom, health and wellness. The Moon Circle is non-religious, and open for people of any walk, faith, race or creed to come and enjoy. This a sacred space where you can express your true self with music, rhythm, dance and trance. The rhythm circle are geared for musicians that play softer drums like frame, tabla, jugs, bells or any other type of light percussion instruments. Guitar, sitar, didgeridoo, signing bowls, flute, harmonica, signing and laughter also have a home under the Bodhi Tree each and every New and Full Moon.
