This is from Heather Shimmin's great idea, about the Sundance Owl Bar on a Sunday. She said, "Sundays at the Owl Bar are always quiet, which is great for conversation." The Owl Bar opens at noon on Sunday, but we'll start the meetup at 3. Sorry I've been slow in scheduling meetups lately, but I'll try to schedule quite a few in the next few months. Not all times and days will be good for all people, so I'll try to schedule them at all times and all days. :) We're still in progress of developing the best format for these book discussions, so it will be a kind of evolving format. Basically, the idea is that everyone brings 1, 2, or 3 books to the book discussion, with a prepared speech, or something to share about them. Your presentation can be as simple as bringing your book, holding it up, and quickly saying, "I like this." Your presentation can be as complex as giving a mini-dissertation with handouts and links to websites with your book. But all of these book discussions will be limited to about 5 minutes, so that way we can all share, if we want. So the purpose of this group is to get exposure to a lot of different books, so we can figure out what we want to read next. Plus, we can have some good discussion on a variety of topics and meet some cool people in Utah County. And, you're welcome to come and just listen even if you don't have a book. Thanks, Joseph
