Description
Jan 2 - Feb 28 and Nov 1 - Dec 31, weekdays: 8-5. Mar 1 - Oct 31, weekdays 8-5 and weekends 9-5. Closed on some holidays. Call ahead (402) 595-3400. After registering you will drive about two miles to the walk start. Usually free parking. The walk is entirely in the downtown Omaha area. Trail is on city streets and asphalt paths through Historic Old Market (this area was once described by Lewis & Clark as a great area for a trading post), through the Heartland of America Park (with a view of the Missouri River) through the Conagra Campus, a lovely park like business complex, and past the Holland Performing Arts Center. Restrooms at Visitor Center.
