WOW! Track Workout in Piedmont November 11, Continuing Every Wednesday

Piedmont High School has a wonderful track. The track is open to the public before and after school hours only. Every once in a while it is closed. If this happens we'll run the city streets. Piedmont is a safe, beautiful place to run. Meet at the bleachers. Look for The WOW Team. The workout starts right at 6:30 with warm-ups. Drop-ins are welcome. The workouts are varied and we usually have 3 -4 of them. We don't train for other track events besides walking or running. While you don't need to be an olympic athlete to join us. You don't even need to be a runner. You do need to be able to move steady for 60 minutes. We run and walk on the track for 60 minutes and, if you can't do this, I've seen women get discouraged. Bring a buddy or be mentally and physically prepared to MOVE. Have proper clothing and shoes for movement. If you have questions about this, please E-mail me with a phone number and we can talk. I want you to succeed. We're not elite athletes but our intention is to work hard, and we do! Workouts include: A maintenance type workout for newcomers or folks inbetween specific goals A 5K/10K workout for folks training for a short distance race A half and full marathon workout for the slightly crazy marathon mentality folks A "veg out" run or walk to calm those jittery nerves right before a competition or after a stressful day Our track workouts are drop-in. Come any time. A $6 fee is required. Pay by cash or buy a coupon book with cash or check ($30). Note: Our track workouts are serious but not meant for elite athletes. Some of us run slow or walk!
