At this meeting, we'll explore: How to Choose Your Agent! Often people think that getting an agent (or an editor) is an overwheling process. But actually if you knew a few simple steps, you could find the right agent for you. At November's meetup, we'll get learn tips and tricks to research the marketplace, and get to know your book's first customer -- the agent or editor. Now, whether or not that agent thinks your the best fit, is another story altogether! Note: If you're looking at self-publishing, this event will still be useful. You still need to know how to research the marketplace! To prepare for the meetup, I highly recommend you: know your genre: ficion or nonfiction determine what type of fiction or nonfiction can talk about your book in 30 words or less ** **Once you join this meetup, you can access the files and download the ELEVATOR PITCH handout.
