Flowers Heritage Foundation invites you to the 4th Annual “Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS” Awareness through Art Competition Exhibit and Awards Reception at the Waterfront Hotel at Jack London Square in Oakland on December 5, 2009 from 2-4:30 pm. “Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS” provides an interactive environment for Bay Area high school students to learn about HIV/AIDS risk and prevention and creatively express their views of the disease. More than 15 local schools are participating in this year's event, which will include an auction of student art pieces and an award ceremony. Past participants have gone on to be HIV/AIDS peer educators at their school, public health ambassadors in their communities and pursued educational interests as public health advocates.
