The Cushwa-Leighton Library opened in 1982 replacing the Alumnae Centennial Library which is now Haggar Center. The library has over 225,000 volumes and currently subscribes to over 800 periodical titles. The building has 77,000 square feet and provides 540 seats for users. The library has public access computers on the main floor and houses computer clusters in the Trumper Computer Center, the Husking Family Instructional Technology Resource Center (ITRC) and on the second floor. Belle Aire wireless access is available throughout the library. The library is open a total of 103 hours per week during the academic year.

In keeping with the mission statement of Saint Mary's College, the Cushwa-Leighton Library offers a physical and virtual user-centered environment providing access to information in a variety of formats in support of the curricular, research, and information needs of our students, faculty, and staff, as well as the broader scholarly community.
