The Metroplex Animal Coalition (MAC), an alliance of more than 50 nonprofit animal welfare-organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex is hosting the 4th Wags and Waves family and dog event at NRH2O Family Water Park in North Richland Hills on Saturday, September 15, 2012. All proceeds will benefit the programs of MAC and its member groups such as Animal Guardians of America, Feral Friends, Legacy Boxer Rescue, Cat Matchers and DFW Rescue Me. For a complete list of member organizations, go to www.metroplexanimalcoalition.org. Wags and Waves gives families the opportunity to “show-off” a very important member of their family – their dogs. The fun-filled event includes, Canine Contests, Entertainment and Demonstrations, Celebrity Emcees and unique vendors and crafts along with the opportunity to surf in the NRH2Ocean, do the dog-paddle in the Frogstein's Splashatory or just float in the Endless River. This is our fourth year for this unique event. We expect more than 1,000 human attendees and over 1,100 dogs of all breeds.
