Try the Cooking Class on Wednesday night at Shop Rite East Brunswick Still the best Chef Instruction/Dinner value out there in 2010 for only $20.00! Join me, MeetUp members and other customer/students (up to 12 people) in an exciting social evening of hands-on food preparation, learning about food and then, finally eating food around 9:00pm. Our Chef, Harold Glassman, a Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, will guide us and do the more complicated tasks while explaining the "whys" and "what fors" of cooking. We sit on high stools around a kitchen workstation and help measure, peel, chop and stir items. An overhead display mirror allows us to view the action from many angles. (and enjoy the smells) We wear latex gloves while helping, the ingredients are fresh & healthy looking and the environment is clean. We all eat at a near by table setting at 9:00pm and go home with recipe cards, maybe leftover food and the warm feeling that we actually helped make our supper while having fun! I saved all my past recipe cards in a colorful 3-ringed binder, ask me about it How to sign up: Two hours of hands-on instruction and the meal and recipe cards cost $20.00 each person. Simply, fill out the form on the back inside cover of the "Culinary Workshop" brochure available at the customer service desk at the front of the store.
