Are near-death experiences real afterlife encounters and what are they like?

We'll watch videos of people describing their actual near-death experiences and the evidence that they have gone into the afterlife and returned. We'll look at the evidence that people blind from birth see during their experiences. Others learn things they couldn't have known as they travel out of the body during their near-death experience. We'll also talk about some of the skeptic's suggestions about near-death experiences, such as that the experience is from lack of oxygen or the brain trying to make sense of dying. If will be a very interesting evening of finding out about near-death experiences from listening to those who have had them talk about what happened, and then discussing what we learn.
