Description
A regular weekly beginners/intermediate class starts Thursday 22nd October CEROC have been introducing complete beginners to the world of partner dancing for over 27 years and today we are the biggest dance club in the world with hundreds of classes across the globe. Our stylish dance, referred to as 'Modern Jive', is a fusion of Salsa, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Tango and Jive. We make learning to dance fun, easy and relaxed. Going to a Ceroc evening is a great way to meet people, have fun and keep fit all whilst learning to dance. Although a partner dance you donÂÂ't need a partner to be able to start - You will dance . ItÂÂ's easy to learn, fun and entertaining, danced to a variety of music rhythm, slow or fast. The Ceroc DJ is playing music from 40s swing to today's latest hits. Regular beginners/intermediate classes will be held in Nice weekly starting Thursday 22nd October at Danalys,Dance Centre: 34 boulevard Riquier, 06300, Nice until a trendy venue in the centre of town is found! Meanwhile, just off the Port, Danalys is easy to find, easy to park, easy to have fun. What to expect of a Ceroc Night With the exception of Party Nights, all Ceroc classes follow exactly the same format: Beginners Class: The night starts with a Beginners Class lasting 45 minutes. You will learn 4 fun moves that are surprisingly simple. At the end of the class the DJ plays two or three records and you can practice and dance the moves you have just learnt. Intermediate Class: The Beginners Class is followed by the more challenging Intermediate class. In this 30 minute session you will learn 4 or 5 harder moves. We normally recommend that it takes about 5 or 6 beginners classes to master the basic moves and feel comfortable to join in at Intermediate level. This is an ideal time for Beginners to sit back and watch whilst having a drink at the bar. Beginners Refresher Class Some venues, depending on the layout of the venue, also offer a second beginners class which runs at the same time as the Intermediate class. This smaller class includes a review of the moves you have learnt earlier in the night. Freestyle: After the Intermediate class the night out really takes off when the Ceroc DJ takes control for the 'Freestyle Session'. This is a 1 1/2 - 2 hour period of pure uninterrupted Ceroc music creating a party atmosphere. You can socialise with a drink at the bar or practice your Ceroc moves and dance the night away. Dancing during the 'Freestlye' really gives you chance to improve your Ceroc style and soak up the atmosphere... it's addictive! Teachers All Ceroc Teachers have undergone intensive training and are qualified as members of the Ceroc Teahers Association. Their qualifications ensure that we give you the best possible expertise. Teachers are keen for you to enjoy the night, so why not grab one for a dance after the class. The Class will be taught in French - although Aurore and Isabelle (Professors) speak good English. Taxi Dancers In addition to the teachers, we have 'Taxi Dancers' who are on hand to help you go through the moves and provide useful hints so that you will soon be dancing with confidence. They are a specially selected, friendly group of regular dancers who are specifically there to dance with beginners. Taxi Dancers are easy to spot as they wear distinctive t-shirts. They are great help durring your first few weeks of attanding Ceroc, and they are on duty all evening, so make sure you hail one! Door Staff The door staff and venue manager are on hand to run the night. They oversee admissions and new members. Please ask your door staff for information or leaflets about workshops and freestles in your area. Ceroc DJ Ceroc DJ's have a play list ranging from old classics through to your favourite new chart hits. They select great songs that you'll love and that will optimise your dance experience. www.cerocfrance.com
