The Lascivious Biddies, an all-female cocktail pop quartet based in New York City, are making headlines with their blend of "Angelic vocal harmonies, wordy humor, jazz chops & pop moxie." (Time Out NY) This irrepressible foursome is Saskia Lane on bass, Ila Cantor on guitar, Lee Ann Westover on lead vocal, and Deidre Rodman on piano and melodica. On their collective résumé, The Biddies have shared the stage with luminaries such as Elvis Costello, Natalie Merchant, Debbie Harry, and The Jazz Passengers. The Biddies and their music have been featured on The Food Network, The Discovery Channel, Fuse TV, a national TV commercial for Chili's Restaurants, a segment on CBS Evening News, and heard nationally on NPR, dozens of local radio stations across America, and internationally on the BBC. According to The Austin Chronicle, "If the Donnas are rock's answer to girl power, then the Lascivious Biddies are jazz's answer to female singularity.
Ethan Lipton and his Orchestra play a brand of jazz folk country blues that’s been compared to the music of Leon Redbone, Randy Newman and Tom Waits. With sharp wit and a hilariously cockeyed view of the world, singer-songwriter Lipton and his bandmates (Eben Levy, Ian Riggs and Vito Dieterle) deliver their uniquely American music with mixed-message sincerity and soul. The band has released three albums, including 2007's critically acclaimed MR. SOFTY, and has been featured on NPR, Sirius and radio stations throughout the country.
