John Legend
Whether you call it "fate" or "destiny" or "a calling," the fact is that some people are born to sing and create music. If you ask any of the "legends" in the music business, chances are you'll get a variation on the idea that music is and always has been the artist's most natural expression. The industry's latest "legend" -- John Legend, actually -- reveals that from the age of five or six, he expected to be 'discovered.' I used to watch Michael Jackson on television and I figured I could do what he was doing." Music has been the central theme in the life of John Legend (born John ...John Legend tour dates and bio
India Arie
Theres nothing like taking on the big issues, and thats exactly what India.Arie does on her powerful third album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship. The title alone is an unmistakable signal that in the more than three years since her last Grammy winning album, Voyage to India appeared, India has grown even more ambitious. That should hardly be a surprise. After all, her 2001 debut album, Acoustic Soul, which earned her seven Grammy nominations and sold more than two million copies, announced that an artist who is unafraid to speak her mind had entered the music scene. Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden New York, often abbreviated as MSG and known colloquially as The Garden, has been the name of four arenas in NYC. It is also the name of the entity which owns the arena and several of the professional sports franchises which play there. There have been four incarnations of the arena. The first two were located at the northeast corner of Madison Square (Madison Avenue and 26th Street) from which the arena derived its name. Subsequently a new 17,000-seat Garden (opened December 15, 1925) was built at 50th Street and 8th Avenue, and the current Garden (opened February 14, 1968) is at 8th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, situated on top of Pennsylvania Station. One Penn Plaza stands at the side. The arena lends its name to the Madison Square Garden Network, and sister channel MSG Plus, two cable television networks that broadcast most sporting events that are part of the Madison Square Garden schedule, as well as concerts and entertainment events that have taken place at the venue. In 2007 the Arena came second as 'World's Busiest Arena' after the M.E.N. in Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Madison Square Garden also refers to itself in its advertising campaigns as "The World's Most Famous Arena." Madison Square Garden New York, is located in Manhattan on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets. The Madison Square Garden schedule and tickets are available at the Garden Box Office, and Ticketmaster online, phones and outlets.
