Jihae's My Heart is an Elephant debut album serves up Mazzy Star meets Nina Simone dream pop sound. Jihae's music is packed with enough emotion to cover every realm of today's musical genres and has a dynamic all its won, mixing ups and downs, taking listeners on a musical journey to the very depths of their own minds.
Her love of the arts and collaborations with multifaceted and multimedia artists, allows the singer to transcend expectations, giving her music an original and brutally honest edge. It is almost as if each musical component, from her luring voice and unparalleled musical composition, to her lyrics which probe the internal intellect, have all simultaneously found each other to form this union of artistic venture.
With songs such as "Faint," which inspires listeners to take a nostalgic look into their own lives, her affinity for abstract composition is obvious.
