Though Bryant Park was created in 1847, it didn't see most of its modern features until 1983. The park now features activities like ping pong, yoga, fencing, knitting, ice skating, chess, and other public pastimes that visitors have come to love. Bryant Park also schedules the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival, and sells tickets for concerts like Piano in Bryant Park, Bryant Park Accordion, and Bryant Park After Work Music. Additionally, the park features performances of hit Broadway plays -- some of which are still on Broadway -- and dance class, Bryant Park Moves. Of course, the Southwest Porch always features events like board game competitions, cookouts, and live music alongside delicious food and drinks.
