Craig Blake (Jeff Bridges) resides solo in his family’s mansion with a mattress on the floor as if he was in a crumby bachelor pad. Embracing his role as black sheep, he hangs around with body builders (including Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his first roles!) and peppy country girl Mary Tate Farnsworth (Sally Field), bringing them to his high society parties. Bob Rafelson’s sort-of comedy takes over Birmingham, Alabama – the best part being the climax involving body builders flooding the streets – presenting oddball characters (Joe Spinell, R.G.
