We’ve all heard of Louis C.K. and his hit show "Louie" on FX. However, it takes more than comic chops to make an idea come to life on TV. Enter Paul Koestner, the Director of Photography responsible for ensuring the show maintains the “indie film” style that the audience has come to associate with it. With nearly 30 years in the business and a dozen comedy credits to his name, it’s no wonder he’s continually putting out visual storytelling at its finest.
In this 2 hour workshop, Paul will discuss what a director of photography does while on set and how the interaction between on-screen and off-screen talent culminates in a finished product fans love. Then he will work with students to teach some of the tricks-of-the-trade he uses when filming. Students will walk away with instruction and practical experience they can put into practice immediately.
Limited to 20 students. Students on wait list will be given advance notice of future classes.
Cost: Admission 31.59
