This year, over 2,500 shelters around the world will join together for the Pet Adoptathon Month of May! Cesar Millan, internationally renowned dog expert and host of The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan on Nat Geo WILD, will serve as national spokesperson for this life-saving event!

Pet Adoptathon aims to promote the adoption of shelter pets, known as Mutt-i-grees®, instead of purchasing a pet from a pet store. The goal of this life-saving event is to find permanent homes for as many Mutt-i-grees as possible.

The Animal League will kick-off the event at Pet Adoptathon Headquarters in New York at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 5th and remain open for 36 straight hours. There will be over 700 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens along with fun family activities and more!

Pet Adoptathon activities will run through the entire month of May as participating shelters host weekend events filled with adoptable animals and fun activities! Get more information at www.animalleague.org/PetAdoptathon.
