False Cape State Park invites the entire family for a fun filled weekend (11/20-11/22) of hiking and exploring the Outer Banks of Virginia. Through participation in outdoor activities, explorations, and conversation participants will learn about the marshes, forests, dunes and beaches while developing survival skills in the wilderness of False Cape State Park. The groups will identify coastal native plants and discover how they can be used for survival, how to purify water, build shelters, make fire without matches and track wild animals. The cost is $150 per person and includes food, lodging and educational materials. Location - Little Island City Park Phone - (757) 426-7128
