The House of Blues New Orleans is one of a rare breed of big-name venues which allows fans to see some of the biggest names in music up close and personal in an intimate, yet stellar setting. As a result, the venue has become one of The Big Easy's biggest hot spots for live music performances. One of 13 venues which make up the House of Blues franchise, the New Orleans branch is currently owned by Live Nation - giants in the field of entertainment venues. The House of Blues brand was the brainchild of Isaac Tigrett.Located in the famous French Quarter, the House of Blues New Orleans has been entertaining the masses since 1994. Like the other House of Blues venues, New Orleans' has stuck to its roots by displaying the “Crazy Quilt” and keeping a box of Delta Mississippi mud underneath its stage - a gesture to ensure that each performer will have the "spirit of the South" beneath their feet. However, the House of Blues New Orleans also knows how to set itself apart from the rest. The venue is home to the largest collection of folk art in the entire U.S. There is also a crest-shaped plague which hangs above a table in the restaurant, a symbol in honor of the great Blues legend, Clarence, 'Gatemouth' Brown.And the connection to big name starts doesn't stop there.
