To celebrate the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) National Safety Awareness Week, Wintergreen launches its 2009 Safe Sliders program with an event featuring prizes, giveaways and Ridgeley the Bear on the Blue Ridge Terrace. Targeting children ages seven to 14, the Safe Sliders program promotes a unified safety message by distributing coloring books that feature safety guidelines; providing reflective zipper pulls that attach to children's jackets; arranging ski helmet giveaways; as well as other presentations and safety programs throughout the season. Safe Sliders, a program developed by Wintergreen Resort and the University of Virginia Child.
Wintergreen Resort is a four-season resort located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
