One of the earliest of British blues bands, SAVOY BROWN (with founder guitarist Kim Simmonds at the helm) helped launch the UK blues/rock movement that paved the way for such acts as Led Zeppelin. In 1969 Kim jammed onstage in London with Jimi Hendrix and Eric Burdon. He was recently inducted into Hollywood's Rock Walk of Fame. The current line-up is David Malachowski, Gerry Sorrentino, Mario Staiano and is led as always by Simmonds. With more than 3 decades behind them, they continue to be a powerful and important blues/rock/boogie act for the new millenium. Their 30th CD "Strange Dreams" was released on February 4, 2003 by Blind Pig records.
