    Love the Exit In. Went last week to see Zane Rupert and had a great time. I'm 68 and I was dancing almost all evening. Everyone was so friendly and happy!

    I helped book the Exit In in the 80s and early 90s. My bands also played there numerous times in the 80s. The Crowd (83-85) Mike Arnold and the Music City Rockers (85-90). I love the stage and the sound.

Exit / In Nashville first opened its doors to the pubic in 1971. A live music venue located near Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University, Exit / In Nashville has the means to accommodate around 500 people. Despite its smaller size, the venue has played host to many legendary names from the world of music over the years. Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imogen Heap, My Morning Jacket, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, Etta James, The Police, and R.E.M are just a few of those featured on the Exit / In schedule in the past.

Indeed, this Nashville hotspot has firmly cemented its place not only in the history of Music City, but amidst the timeless culture of rock music itself. Evidence of Exit / In Nashville’s cult status can be seen on the back cover of The Police’s Zenyatta Mondatta album where, amongst the selection of images, is a picture of Sting wearing an Exit / In Nashville t-shirt. Exit / In Nashville has was also mentioned in Steve Martin’s biography – the actor himself an established banjo player.
