ROCK CLIMBING AND CAMPING

Pre-Trip Meeting: Tuesday, 3/23 at 5:00 PM
For this beginner to advanced trip we are traveling to Southern Illinois to climb at Jackson Falls. This "so ill" favorite has enough quality sandstone to keep us busy for days. For those who prefer higher ground we will be setting up routes of all levels from low angle slabs to overhanging pump fests. To satisfy those gymnastic urges closer to terra firma, we will bring along some crash pads and a few good spotters to sample the many boulders scattered throughout the woods. This year we are spending 2 days at Jackson Falls (camping in the woods nearby). Estimated trip duration: 7AM Saturday to 10 PM Sunday.
To sign up for a trip, you must come to the Outdoor Recreation Center, located on Children's Way behind the Student Recreation Center. Hours: M & F 12 - 6 p.m., T - Th 3 - 6 p.m.
