Description:
Jan. 14-16

The Tennessee Department of Education will again collaborate with TRIAD of Vanderbilt to provide teacher training to those staff who work with children with autism. The training consists of three days of hands-on experience with children with autism, plus the opportunity to receive a site visit in the trainee's setting within two months of the training. Training topics include characteristics, assessment, methodologies, communication, and behavior.

Applicants can include general and special education teachers, speech-language therapists, related service personnel, behavior consultants, or other school personnel involved in educating students with autism. Special education directors who have interested staff may contact Linda Copas with the Tennessee Department of Education at Linda.copas@state.tn.us or 615-741.7790.

Event details may change at any time, always check with the event organizer when planning to attend this event or purchase tickets.
