Event details: Family Program: Is It a Fiddle or a Violin?
Description
In Texas it's a fiddle. In Boston it's a violin. In Nashville it depends.
This program explores the differences and similarities as presented by both a country fiddle player and a classically trained violinist. Participants will have the chance to try the fiddle--or is it a violin?--before the program ends. Ages 5 to 11. Based on a program developed by the Nashville Symphony and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. No reservations required. Free. Families are encouraged to tour the museum at a discounted rate following the program. Visit the information desk or ticket window for more information.
The educational programs of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum are funded in part by grants from the Tennessee Art Commission and the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, through an agreement with the Tennessee Art Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
