Linhares' work centers on functional clay pots and how pottery speaks to what groups of people have in common. He blends and borrows elements of Chinese, Iraqi, and Mediterranean cultures to make unique pieces. Spring and winter provide the inspiration for Shirey' s photos. Focusing on wildflower blossoms and ice crystals, he tells the story of natural wonders others might pass by. Gallery hours 10-6 M-F, 11-4 Sat. More info at www.mvnu.edu/news or www.mvnu.edu/art.
