Let's go to the Bayou to enjoy some great cajun cookin.... The Bayou Restaurant features New York's best authentic cajun food and the top live blues and zydeco artists in the northeast. And then stay for this terrific blues band -- the Mojo Miles Band will go on at 10:30 (the dinner hour needs to be done before the music starts at the Bayou) but hey, its Friday night, in the middle of the Thanksgiving weekend, so no work on Saturday for most!!) This is a small venue, so please rsvp for dinner or just the show and we'll squeeze you in with us... Please note that there is a $5 cover if you get there after 9pm just for the band.... 13 year old Myles Mancuso is billed around New York City as "New York City's Youngest Working Bandleader/Guitarist". He's been fronting his own band of adult professionals since he was nine - he's played on some of the top stages in Manhattan; BB Kings, The Cutting Room, The Iridium Jazz Club, Madison Square Garden (Knicks Half Time show),The Red Lion, Tera Blues and many other stages around the New York City and Hudson Valley area. MylesÃÂ' creative talent revealed itself at an early age; at 3 years old it was evident he had performing in his nature, he would dress up and meticulously emulate the performances from some of his early favorites (Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Ray Charles and James Brown). He would sit for long periods and just soak in their video taped performances. As Myles grew, his musical abilities were hard to overlook. He would play his dadÃÂ's drum set to the many songs he learned from start to finish (by the age of 5 he was able to play a full drum set). He particularly enjoyed playing to Elvis, Frank Sinatra and Beatles' songs. With a flare for music and entertainment emerging by 5 he was enrolled in a Yamaha Music Instruction Program for the piano. At the age of seven he entered into private classical piano lessons with a Julliard graduate and accomplished local composer who received many grants and awards for his works. At the age of 8 he started playing bass guitar and at 9 went to six string guitar, he has continued to advance in his abilities, recently adding the saxophone to his array of instruments. Miles' sound has been referred to as "A Unique Blend of RockinÃÂ' Rhythm and Soul"..... an upbeat mix of Traditional R & B, Blues & Funk with a New Orleans Flavor. His show transcends age and musical preferences. Referred to as "Inspiring, Educational and Emphatically Entertaining". He plays songs from James Brown, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, The Meters, Johnny Cash, Booker T and the MGs and many more, along with a number of original songs. Live performances by the Mojo Myles band have been known to induce dancing and a general feeling of jubilation. It could be like watching Michael Jackson, Wayne Newton and Elvis play little clubs when they were young. I suggest that everyone get an autograph NOW. Because in a few years you'll be able to retire on what they bring on e-bay. You are witnessing history in the making. Make it a point to go to as many of Myles' gigs as you can get to and watch him rise to SUPERSTARDOM. Remember, history is in the making... don't watch it, be part of it. ... plus we get to groove to some fantastic blues!!
