Happy 3rd Anniversary Cheap Eats Group! Lets celebrate at Samba Na'Brasa!

In celebration of three years of great Cheap Eats, we're going to return to the original site where we had our first event at - Samba Na Brasa in the Fleetwood section of Mt. Vernon. This is a Brazilian churascaria, with a beautiful bar and a price fixe dinner at $31.95, plus tip, and tax (drinks extra), which offers hot and cold buffet for the first course, including a huge variety of fresh green salads, potato salad, sopressata, grilled portabella, seafood salad, eggplant parmigiana, brazilian squash, marinated mushrooms, seafood paella, oxtail and yucca stew, ossobuca, and risotto, and much much more. Then for the second course, skewers of roasted meat are sliced tableside (selection of meats including steaks, beef, poultry, fish), by the waiters at your command. I"ve asked for scattered seating - so we'll have table groupings of four and six and eight.. all in the upper and private dining area near the huge and beautiful fireplace in the center of the main room. *********************************************************** Over the past few weeks I've been steadily increasing the numbers of attendees for the THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY FOR THE CHEAP EATS GROUP at the Samba Na Brasa restaurant on Sunday January 11th at 6pm. Now that we're a week or so away from the event I've capped it at 50 people.. (and we still have folks on the waiting list!) I called the restaurant this evening to let them know our numbers and while they are excited to have us, -- BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE FOR THIS EVENT, WE ARE REQUIRED TO DO A CONTRACT WITH THEM AND THEY NEED A DEPOSIT OF $500... The reason for the contract is: folks have been making reservations for a group, and then the group is less than the number the reservation is for -- and the restaurant has purchased food, scheduled staffing, and then they don't get the income expected for that particular event (tough to do biz that way) -- this speaks directly to us and what's been happening with the group lately... (ex. folks rsvp'ing as yes, and then not showing up, or cancelling at the last minute, after I've confirmed with the restaurant)... so I understand their need for a contract but again, I cannot afford to pay for people who may or may not show up.. please be aware -- this is an inkling of what may happen to our group in the future - deposits required for dinners... So.. what I need from you is A PARTIAL PAYMENT in advance, because I cannot put out $500 of my own money to secure this event.. this is OUR group, and we all have to share in some of the responsibility. So I"m asking you to please make a paypay payment to me for $12.00 -- which I will use to make the deposit on our dinner event at Samba Na Brasa.. PLEASE MAKE THIS PAYMENT ASAP, (today, tomorrow, or Sunday) so I can set up the party package contract and pay them for our event.. If you do not have paypal, we'll have to figure out another way, as I need to have this money in advance by Monday... and checks just don't move that fast in the mail... so please email me with how you might get the money to me.. or ask someone you know who has paypal to cover you.. Either way, if we want to have this party, we need to work together.. Please note that you can just park in the lot nearby, parking is FREE on Sundays!! Questions/Comments? please email me!
