Start Time: 8:00 AM
End Time: 1:00 PM
Learn about going green at the Mount Prospect Farmers' Market. Local area experts will be on hand to discuss the benefits of pursuing a greener lifestyle. Have you ever wondered how to compost, preserve tomatoes, or landscape with native plants? Information on these topics and more will be available throughout the morning, plus the kids can go to one of two scheduled storytimes. A raffle will be available to all those who stop by to fill out a ticket. Prizes will include a produce basket selected from the farmers' market plus a rain barrel.
The Mount Prospect Sustainability Education Program is presented in partnership with the Village of Mount Prospect and the Mount Prospect Public Library and funded through the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG).
