Start Point Address / Driving Directions:
1706 Ridgeside Drive, Mt. Airy 21771, 301-829-5718. From East and West on I-70, take Exit 68 towards Mt. Airy. If coming from the East the exit ramp becomes Main Street. Go straight through the light at the end of the exit ramp crossing Ridge Rd. (Route 27) and take the next right on Ridgeside Dr. to enter McDonalds. If coming from the West, bear left on the exit ramp towards Mt. Airy. Turn left at light at end of exit ramp onto Ridge Rd. (MD-27). Turn left at the next light onto Main St. for one block and take the next right on Ridgeside Dr. to enter McDonalds. From I-270, take Father Hurley Blvd. Exit 16A east towards MD-27/Damascus. Father Hurley Blvd. becomes Ridge Rd. (MD-27) when it crosses MD-355. Mt. Airy is about 12 miles north of I-270. When you get to Damascus, continue straight past the Chevron Gas Station (start point for the Damascus YRE) onto Lewis Drive. At the next light, turn left to continue on Ridge Rd. for about 5 miles up to Mt. Airy. After going under the I-70 overpass, turn left at the next light onto Main St. for one block and take the next right on Ridgeside Dr. to enter McDonalds. START BOX is located on the right side of the main counter. Event Description: Daily Dawn to Dusk. . Trail is on sidewalks and roadsides in the town of Mt. Airy. Main Street in Mt. Airy serves as the dividing line between Frederick and Carroll Counties. Walk will be in both counties.
