Description

Infamous music promoter Bill Graham established many fine music venues in San Francisco, but none of them quite like Shoreline Amphitheatre. Located in the South Bay city of Mountain View, Shoreline Amphitheatre schedules some of mainstream music's most popular performers and festivals. The spacious outdoor amphitheater provides supreme comfort in both the reserved and lawn seating, and its many amenities leave nothing off the checklist for a great night of live music.

Shoreline Amphitheatre was opened in 1986 as part of a project to turn the Shoreline landfill into a massive, entertaining park. Graham designed the amphitheater to look like The Grateful Dead's trademark "steal your face" image when viewed aerially (which it sort of does). Since that time, Shoreline Amphitheatre has scheduled performances by The Dave Matthews Band and The Grateful Dead, as well as the Vans Warped Tour, Mayhem Festival, Lollapalooza, and Ozzfest. These amazing performances are accompanied by the natural, scenic beauty of Shoreline Park, and by the many food, beverage, and other booths at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
