From Clubplanet.com: Né en Israël et élevé à Cap Town en Afrique du Sud, Yoav nouvel auteur-compositeur habite maintenant à Londres après avoir séjourné un peu partout, notamment à New York et Montréal. Après une tournée de spectacles avec l'incomparable Tori Amos qui s'est avérée un véritable succès, il signe un premier disque sur lequel on retrouve le single Club Thing.
Dans sa musique, il marie judicieusement une infinité d'influences sonores à une grande innovation technique, incorporant plusieurs éléments de styles musicaux différents (hip hop, drum n'bass, pop, folk, soul, etc) pour créer un style de musique tout à fait personnel. Yoav avoue avoir essayé de traduire la dance music en musique pour guitare, ainsi les sonorités de batterie et de synthétiseur sont imaginativement reproduites par sa guitare acoustique et sa voix accrocheuse. La totalité des pièces présentes sont de son propre cru sauf la toute dernière, splendide reprise du titre Where is My Mind originalement interprétée par le groupe The Pixies vers la fin des années 80. Pour conclure, Charmed & Strange se veut un disque organique rempli de fraîcheur, une ambitieuse fusion musicale purement sublime.

Yoav is not an easy one to pigeonhole, and he probably never will be. "Wherever I've been, I've always been outside of things. And the people I have connected with have always been that way, too. It makes you lonely, but, at the same time, I wouldn't change it. I'm really glad I'm living the life I'm living. Different cultures, different art, different mind sets… I want more."
